Along the same lines of my previously posted Crate Shelf DIY, Apartment Therapy recently posted a DIY article about a wall shelf made from a wine crate. What a great, simple idea!
Proper BBQ : The Perfect Warm-Weather Gift
If this isn't the most perfect summer kick-off gift around, I don't know what is. Not only is the packaging design exquisite, but I'm sure the BBQ flavors are just right.
The only problem is that I haven't been able to track down where to buy this fine kit...
Dearest Maura
I've got a lot of friends that feel a whole lot like family to me. One of them is the oh so lovely Maura Grace. She's a farmer extraordinaire, a super creative, a nurturing friend, and is always enjoying life. She keeps a blogroll filled will all kinds of inspiration, too.
Today is her birthday, and I truly wish I could be enjoying a birthday lunch with her right now. Happy Birthday Maura!

Animal Archetypes : Space, Animals, and Psychology
I recently came across this illustration series called Archetypes by Attitude Creative. It was "a personal project reflecting our love of space, animals, and psychology."
These Archetype illustrations are available as iPhone wallpapers, but I've read that eventually they'll be sold as t-shirts and bags!

Bringing the Wild Inside : Taxidermy Textiles
To continue with my Creepy Decor theme, The Stuff of Dreams blog by artist Lilli Cowley is really something special. She's an illustration and print design artist who has incorporated actual taxidermy into her work to create a sculpture of sorts. I personally like her print and illustrations.

Around the Block with Some Sun on My Shoulder
This weekend's weather was amazing. Our windows were open, the sun was warming up our apartment, and we even got our bikes out to hit the road and enjoy the wonderful weather.
As I walked to the store yesterday evening to pick up a few goods for dinner, I found myself stopping at every stoop-front taking photos of the freshly-bloomed flowers! I can't decide if spring is still coming or if it's actually here - but I'm sure happy to see the green buds on the trees and new blooms in the neighborhood.

Toys for All Ages : Balancing Blocks
If there are children in your life - even if they're your friends' kids - go ahead and get these blocks for them! Their organic shape, handmade quality, and topsy-turvy facets will surely entertain any kiddo. Matter of fact, I'd love a set of blocks in my own home to practice my zen rock balancing with these Balancing Blocks.
